...and if your pet requires surgery
Don't worry. We have two fully equipped operating theatres and experienced staff. All surgical cases are maintained under anaesthetic using the safest drugs with advanced anaesthetic machines and monitoring equipment. They are performed under sterile conditions with at least one veterinarian and one trained nurse in attendance. Team members are continually trained and updated in the latest techniques. Our rosters allow your pet’s nurse to be dedicated to the anaesthetic monitoring from start to finish. All patients under anaesthetic will have an accompanying anaesthetic monitoring form which is dutifully filled out. Monitoring equipment keeps check on the patient's heart rate and blood oxygen level. Intravenous fluids allow quick and easy access for drugs to be administered and maintain hydration and help with blood pressure. Pre-anaesthetic blood profiling will give the Veterinarian up to date information on your pet’s health beforehand. All surgical instruments are sterilised by autoclaving.
We perform routine elective surgery on Monday to Friday mornings. This includes neutering of cats, dog, rabbits and other small pets. We carry out a lot of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, including cruciate (knee ligament) and patella (knee-cap) surgery.
Hospital care

If your pet needs to stay in the hospital, our ward is spacious and comfortable. It is heated in winter and cooled in summer. Ward nurses are in attendance during the day to look after all your pet’s needs. Our cages are stainless steel for hygiene and soft bedding and warm water bottles are always provided. We are only too happy to allow you to visit.
