Nurse Tina McConnachie has been associated with Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital since 1978, having worked here on and off over the years, taking time off only to raise her three children, who are now grown up and have careers of their own. She is our Health and Safety Officer and has participated in several training courses at Frankston TAFE to give her the skills required for the role. She is also our Student Work Experience Co-ordinator – assisting the Year Ten students who come to do their work experience at MVH.
Tina is very much an animal lover, and remembers always wanting to be vet nurse so she could take care of animals. She and her husband, Shayne, have quite a menagerie at home - 4 cats, 4 dogs, 4 horses and about 30 chickens. Tina is a member of a riding club and loves riding her horse in her spare time. She is also a member of the Warragul Poultry Club and enjoys exhibiting her own poultry – the large, black Australorps and the very tiny Japanese bantams. Tina has a great sense of humour and is renowned for her giggling fits as well as for her kind heart.
