Kim grew up in the large country town of Mildura. She has always loved animals and knew that she wanted to be a vet from a very early age! Kim joined the Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital in 2016, and is particularly interested in small animal medicine and good animal care in general. Kim has previously worked in mixed practice in South East Queensland, locumed in UK, and has also spent two years in Alice Springs which included working with the Aboriginal communities to provide animal health programs.
“I don’t remember wanting to be anything other than a vet. It’s very rewarding to see the change good veterinary care can make to a pets life” ~ Dr Kim Benning
Kim loves to travel, and regularly visits places where she can incorporate her passion for staying fit by running or hiking. She has a Fox Terrier Cross called Lacie, who she adopted when she came across her when she was working in Mildura, it was love at first sight!
