Dr Alan Bult
Having grown up in a country town on a small farm, becoming a veterinarian was the only career Alan ever wanted. After graduating, he began his career in mixed practice before moving into small-animal practice ownership in the Bayside area, where he spent 25 years. He later broadened his experience through several years working in animal welfare and shelter medicine in both Brisbane and Melbourne.
In recent years, Alan has taken on locum and part-time roles in local practices as part of a move toward a more balanced lifestyle. He currently works several shifts at MVH, where he focuses primarily on consulting and particularly enjoys the face-to-face interaction with clients and their pets.
Outside of work, Alan enjoys spending time with his family, helping with his kids’ activities and sports, and sharing his home with Joey (the not-so-sedate chocolate Labrador) and Hokey and Pokey, their two white cats. His interests include walking, swimming in the bay, golf, reading, and following a wide range of sports.
