Michelle Hyndman

Practice Coordinator / Nursing Team Leader

Michelle started at Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital in 2001. From a very early age Michelle knew that she wanted a career with animals, growing up with dogs, cats, birds and horses!

Michelle enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, especially surgical nursing and anaesthesia. Along with her role as the nursing team leader, she manages the day to day running of the hospital, and also administration.

Michelle has a young daughter and two adorable Boston Terriers, Pingu and Peanut who she loves playing with! Michelle also enjoys reading, baking, playing netball and spending time with her family.

  • Diploma Applied Science: Animal Technology
  • Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing

 

Hayley Young

Veterinary Nurse

Hayley first joined the nursing team at Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital in 2005, after a number of years as a dental nurse. Hayley loves all aspects of the profession including surgical and medical nursing, pharmacology and of course cuddling all of the animals!

Hayley spends her time outside of work looking after her three children, two young boys and a baby daughter! Hayley also spends time assisting with their school’s PTF committee. She also enjoys walking her Finnish Lapphund Spirit, playing with her cats Merlot (a Somali) and Franny, and taking her Nissan Cube to car events.

Rickie Morse

Veterinary Nurse

Rickie joined the Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital nursing team in 2012. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, particularly taking care of our hospital patients. Rickie is also part of our busy weekend team, enjoying working alongside client favourites Jenny and Jemima!

Rickie has two young children and a fiance, who she enjoys spending her time with! She also has a playful Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Murphey!

Marissa Rickard

Veterinary Nurse

Marissa joined the Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital nursing team in 2015. Beginning her career in 2010, she has a particular interest in emergency and has completed additional studies in this area.

Marissa also loves taking care of any wildlife that is brought into the hospital!

Marissa has a young son and fiance, two dogs Ziva and Poppy, and a cat called Tiago who she loves spending time with! She also loves keeping fit and healthy, and spending time with friends and family.

Lou Hutton

Veterinary Nurse

Lou joined the Moorabbin Veterinary Hospital nursing team in 2017. Lou began her veterinary nursing career in 2011, after managing a pet shop for four years. She has a particular interest in surgery and behaviour!

Lou finds the relationship between humans and animals is fascinating, not only what we can do for them but what they can do in return for us. She finds it very rewarding being able to play a part in that special bond.
Lou is also our resident Puppy Preschool instructor, which means lots of puppy cuddles!
Lou’s interests include marathon running and high intensity training! In her downtime she loves spending time with her two Scottish Folds, Poppy and Rocky.

 

Georgia Karidis

Animal Attendant

Georgia joined the nursing team as a nursing assistant in 2016, after completing her work experience at MVH. She also assists with our puppy school classes, which means she gets to cuddle puppies every week! Georgia has recently finished her secondary school studies locally, and now plans to study Veterinary Science.
